Calendar duration and elapsed time are not always the same thing.
From January 31 to February 28, a calendar-aware difference may be described differently from a raw count of elapsed days. This calculator shows both the exact calendar breakdown and the total elapsed time.
Inclusive counting
Exclusive counting measures the time between the two dates. Inclusive counting adds the end date, which is useful for leave periods, events and date ranges where both boundaries count.
Working days
Working days exclude selected weekend days and, optionally, holidays you provide. The tool does not automatically import public holidays because those differ by country, region and employer.
Timezone-safe dates
Date-only calculations are normalized to calendar dates to avoid daylight-saving shifts changing the day count.

How is the exact date difference calculated?
The calculator determines complete calendar years and months first, then counts the remaining days. It also displays raw elapsed totals such as days, weeks, hours and minutes.
What is inclusive date counting?
Inclusive counting includes the end date in the range. It is useful when both boundary dates should count, such as leave periods, bookings and event schedules.
How are working days calculated?
Working days exclude the weekend pattern you select. When holiday exclusion is enabled, valid dates entered in the holiday list are also removed.
